Comparing Apples to Oranges

i pad, u pad, we all pad for the iPad 3. You've heard correct ladies and gents! The day has finally come!!! Today is the highly anticipated date in which the iPad 3 makes its debut. And when I say "debut", I'm not talking about the coming of age story about Ben Mercado, a talented high school senior who has rejected his Filipino heritage, featuring Dante Bosco.

Who says the economy is going through financial hardships? Mother fuggas are going to be dropping close to a grand left and right just to purchase this sweet piece of equipment. And a great investment it is, until the iPad 4 drops.

Let me be honest. I was very resistant to transitioning any of my current technologies over to Apple. I thought, "I'm gonna be a blackberry user for life!". But you know what, you get wiser with age. I've switched over and have never looked back. I'm waiting for the new Macbook pro to drop to scoop that up. And right now I have that tingling sensation in my balls with the new arrival of the iPad 3.

Let's see, Retinal display, 3.1 million pixels on a 9.7 in screen? Carry the 6... that's 264 pixels per inch.
A5X processor and a quad-core graphics chip? LTE and about 10 hours worth of battery life? Who else has a boner right now, be honest... I bet every geek squad member's pants have just gotten tighter #technologywood

So what if its 1.4 lbs heavier? Tegra 3 better grab its ankles and take it like a G. iPad 3 about to tear it up.

No matter how much you resist it, you can't knock the strides of technological advancements that Apple has been making. Steve Jobs is probably developing "iGod" equipment in heaven for the big guy.

The idea of Apple being a conglomerate and bullying the little guy doesn't apply here. Get off your high horses, you haters. Look at all those Jeremy Lin band waggon jumpers. Difference is that the iPad isn't a fluke, and other teams haven't figured out a way to contain the iPad (other teams being Samsung and the like). Its not about popularity or what's in right now. It's about what's the best there is, and don't you deserve the best?

For all those people that are so against Apple that they're willing to settle for an inferior product to make yourself as unique as a snowflake.... you're absolutely downatello with an idiotic cause. "They're delusional or have mommy/daddy issues" - J.Wallstreet #realtalk
Okay, before things get all weird, not every owner of a tablet that isn't an ipad has had someone touch them in their no-no areas when they were younger... I hope.

I leave you all with this...
Levar Burton once told me, to my face, "of couse, you don't have to take my word for it.."

Open wide... time to insert my Caucus

For those who read this, I want to clarify that Ron Paul is not that light skinned Jamaican rapper. Although at this rate, instead of asking people to give him the light, he should be begging for their votes. That's right people, we're talking politics and in regards to my comment about Paul's need for votes, the last tally of votes documented on March 13th, shows Paul to be the weakest Republican candidate in multiple States. Romney and Santorum are killin' it, and event Gingrich is putting up decent numbers.

I'm not going to lie. I don't keep up with politics at all. Hell, I don't even think I'm registered to vote. Actually I get jury summons all the time, but that's besides the point. If you're concerned with what happens to our country and how that could possibly transcend on your way of life... start reading.

I know there are a lot of people out there that don't care. Maybe the following paragraph hits close to home:

"I've never voted. And you know what, I know they say every vote counts but I just never developed a fascination for it. I just don't think 4-8 years is enough time for one person to make the changes that are necessary. And then of course, more often than not, the political campaign and the actual course of actions after the votes have been tallied often change. I understand that there's plenty of fiery rings that one would need to jump through to accomplish things, but whatevs. I know congressional staff members have a lot to do with why our economy sucks, but all in all, despite all subliminal messages, I just don't feel like my vote counts."

I wouldn't blame anyone if not everyone, if they felt this way, but it's never a bad thing to keep yourself in the loop.

There is an abundant amount of issues that these candidates are covering. And rather than ramble about topics you might not particularly care for, please search the following topics that you want to read about and use Google to look them up..

This is how I see our current political race. The Republicans are like the Fantastic Four. Gingrich is "the Thing", kinda repulsive looking and heavy set. Paul is like the "invisible woman", I mean, just look at his current standing. Romney is "Mr. Fantastic", LOOK at his hair bro. And Santorum is the "Human Torch", young (well compared to the others) and if you look at the stats, he's on fire.

This would make Obama "Dr. Doom", and it's fitting after the shit he's fucked up.

I know there are a lot of independant candidates out there that I didn't even bother to mention, but I'll leave that up to you to research. As a matter of fact, if someone stands out as the best candidate, Get at me,  O_Mega_Tron@twitter and omega_tron@instagram and tell me why.

보이 밴드 : 미국의 대 한국 (Boy Bands: America versus Korea)

So many factors to dissect when discussing this topic. But the first question that comes to my mind is equivalent to "which came first? the chicken or the egg?". After much researching, it is very hard to say where the origin of the term boy band came from. Although I can confidently say that America has had it's varieties of male vocal groups since the early 19th century... But around that time, they were better known as a barbershop quartet. The term boy band was most significantly established around the 1980's with the introduction of groups such as the Monkees, Jackson 5 and the Beatles. Male vocal groups consisting of Caucasian members then took on the title exclusively, because an all black group would be an R&B group.

Fast forward a decade or so and you meet the entire world's attempt to intro a boy band from different continents. Ivanushki International from Russia, Menudo and even Bay City Rollers from Scotland. With that said, why are we only focusing on America versus Korea? Have you ever heard of Ivanushki International? Okay, moving on.

Let's break down the duration of the group's popularity. Although N'sync and Backstreet Boys are some what common house hold names and their music will forever be remembered, listening to their music... well its like doing a fat chick. It's fun and everything until your friends catch you doing it. I haven't followed much of Korea's boy bands, but it seems like they share the same, if not more of a half life in terms of popularity, without the ridicule of liking the music. Bands such as H.O.T. and ShinWa have immortalized themselves just the same.

I can't say that I'm a fan of either ethnicity's choice of names for the groups (HOT = High five Of Teenagers...), but that might just be me.

I've noticed that more often than not, US groups start up and dissolve in a blink of an eye due to lack of marketing or flat out lack of appeal. Granted you had a reality show with a group "O-Town", they didn't make the cut and really did not leave a mark. Maybe because Korea's training and preparation for their musical stars is so much more intense before their debut. From my understanding, they can spend years on end as a trainee until the management sees that they are ready. I will however give credit to the US for the solo careers that stem from the disassembled groups. Well, Justin Timberlake is the only one I see that's done well. JC Chasez, judges on ABDC yet I don't recall him being the "dancer" of the group. Guess he's got bills to pay too. Well, that's unfair to say... A lot of Korean boy bands that dissolve end up doing variety shows or (IMO) fail at a solo career, unless their new angle is totally amazing.

Korea has the US beat when it comes to changing the group's image. America seems to fit people into a music genre to begin with, and it really hinders the groups ability to transition into another genre later. Groups like Good Charlotte aren't likely to switch to power ballads, and 98 degrees isn't likely to succeed at a rock album. I believe America creates groups based on their vocal abilities. Which leads into the next two reasons why Korean groups are dominate. I personally believe the vocal abilities of the Korean groups outclass American groups in their diversity. And although the success will vary in magnitude when a K-pop group transitions to another group image, they pull it off. But! give a point to America when Korean groups attempt a more macho image. They fail mainly on the account that the members lack masculinity so much. It doesn't help when all the members will go in and out of a phase where they have long feminine hair.

Let's move on to fashion. Korea wins.

On to the combination of singing and dancing. Dancing being a skill that America doesn't focus on too strongly. Korea wins.

The group or individuals' image in the press, Korea wins. While AJ from backstreet boys keeps the bottle from hitting his lips, you don't hear the troublesome substance abuse from the Korean groups. But I'm proud of you AJ, I too am roughly 45 days sober, and it is not an easy task. whether it's to loosen the vocal cords before a performance, or it's to stay smooth with the ladies, much respect.

And finally, let's touch on the internal image of the group and the popularity within. We all know that both American and Korean groups have their "one" within the group. The cute one, the funny one, the bad one, the weird one and the odd looking one. Okay, so maybe those aren't the names for them, but you get the idea. Korea earns a point because in essence, they all can retain the title of the cute one. They both have "the dancer", but the Koreans seem to train all the members to make them seem like anyone can retain that title, even though ultimately, there's that one talented member that stands out above the rest. Another important factor that turns out to be leaning towards a K-pop victory is the inclusion of a member that can sing and rap. The only American group that is even a contender in this would be LFO aka Low Frequency Oscillation, with Rich Cronin as America's heavy weight champion (RIP Rich, #shooby do wop). Korean groups take the point when it comes to individual popularity for members within the group. How can I just state that as if it were some known fact you ask? Anyone that is specifically a Joey Fatone or Chris Kirkpatrick fan, is a god damn fool and should die immediately.

So, let's tally things up. Korean 1,000,000 and US 5. I think we have a winner folks #chickendinner.

On behalf of my fans, I'll continue to monitor the success of groups such as Big Time Rush and Mindless Behavior and compare them to Shinee and 2PM.

I plead the 5th! or 4th? ~(Dharun Ravi the new Michael Lucas)~

So... who's following the Rutgers University case regarding cyber bullying?
Let me break it down for everyone, with my own personal je ne sais quoi.

It starts off with two Rutgers University male students sharing a dorm room #nohomo... wait wait, my mistake, one of the students was in fact gay. Tyler Clementi, 18 years of age at the time, roomed with Dharun Ravi. The controversy rears its head in Sept. 19th, 2010 when Ravi apparently activated his webcam as Clementi entered their shared room with an older man. Upon realizing that it was a date, Ravi disabled his webcam, and that was that. His defense was that he wanted to make sure that none of his belongings were being tampered with in his absence.

Well, this sounds harmless enough. How could this be considered bullying? Dorming with a complete stranger that was assigned to by housing officials, who wouldn't be slightly concerned with their personal belongings.

If it were only that simple. Two days later on Sept. 21st, 2010, Ravi apparently recruited help to strategically position the camera towards Clementi's bed and invited friends over to watch as Clementi had sexual interactions. One might think that Ravi enjoyed homosexual pornography? However, evidence of email correspondence to friends of Ravi, complaining about having a roommate who is gay clearly negates the possibility that Ravi was entertained with the sexual activity of his dorm mate. Now this is clearly invasion of privacy and despite Ravi's defense of him being immature and ignorant, this was clearly thought out, not off of a whim and Ravi even had an accomplice.

The results are that Clementi ended his own life a few days after this event. Such a tragic course of action.
I'm slightly torn between an idea now. Although I can agree that no one can really anticipate what a persons actions will be, is it feasible for people to sit down, thoroughly weigh all the options and outcomes, perform all checks and balances, and create a pros versus cons list before acting? Seems restrictive to me. And let me clear the air right now. Some of you might be thinking, "Exiled prince, what do you know about invasion of privacy?"

Truth is, this very same situation has happened to me before. First off, swap out a random older gentleman with my girlfriend at the time. Swap out the dorm room with by best friend's living room. Swap out the bed with a rug. Swap out Sept. 19, 2010 with the morning after my senior prom. And finally swap out the webcam with my best friend's own eyes. I know, identical right?

I do dumb stuff all the time. I try my best to consider other's feelings and incorporate them into my actions too, but sometimes those impulsive tendencies get the better of me. #No_filter... #Y.O.L.O

Here's a link to the most recent status for the trial, which I kinda summarized already:

Take a look at this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privacy
The laws behind privacy are so loosely drawn up and barely mentioned in the 4th amendment.

"the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures".[3]

Where does this case fall under? Does the video capture fall under "unreasonable searches"?

"PHONY 2012" or "KONY 2012, YODO: you only donate once"

So I'm going to start off in left field, and return shortly after. Please bear with me.

As many of you know, technological advancement has always been a driving force of competition between countries. The technological capabilities of a country, dare I say it, define it's stature in the world. Needless to say, the Japanese would be the classiest of all, in my opinion #aznpride. Why I'm starting off with this, is somewhat irrelevant to the topic. I only initiated this to show how technology dependant our society has become.
Facebook serves as a means to remind people of birthdays (who needs calendars anymore), send out mass invitations, etc.
Twitter and Instagram serves as a "what I'm doing right now, at this very second, with a picture to prove it" notification service.
"Diary of an Exiled Prince (self proclaimed)" serves as my way of trying to get some @ss.

Through all mediums of social media, the hot topic is "KONY 2012". For those that aren't interested in doing the dirty work of researching, let me summarize to the best of my abilities.
1. Joseph Kony (war criminal that uses "kadogo" [child soldiers]) in charge of the LRA (Lord's resistance army). On the run, really dark black dude and shinier than Jermaine DuPree.
2. Invisible Children Inc. (non profit organization out to re-instate Uganda's military arms in an effort to stop Kony). They are widely criticized for being a shady non profit that refuses to provide necessary information to the Better Business Bureau in order for them to meet the BBB's standards. The heads of IC Inc. refuse to let their financials be audited independently, making them lose accountability. They openly admit that only 31% of the donations actually "help people". The remainder supports their travel expenses and film editing/creation.

I'm not here to persuade, dissuade or push any ideas on anyone. I'm just spreading knowledge that's relevant in the news today. Most people are concerned with what/who Kim K. is doing, who looks to be the leading contestant on "The Voice", or what the f*ck that Snookie tw@t is doing. Donate if you want. Sign up for the LRA for all I care. Just educate yourselves on what is going on with the world.
